Capital Controls Are Coming for Gold, Silver, and Cryptocurrencies

So you better act now if you don't want to smuggle your own wealth out of your nation

Way back when, when I was still running my old company, after the 2008 global financial crisis reared its ugly head, I warned all my clients that they had better take action, if they wanted to protect their freedom to move about freely in this world, to stash assets on different continents.  I identified the greatest threat to our freedom as banker instituted capital controls. And this was fourteen years ago. Who cares if you have €50M in a bank in Paris if it will require more than 22 years to withdraw it all because harsh capital controls limit your maximum daily withdrawals to €1,000 a day? Or perhaps you would like to relocate to another nation and the maximum amount your bank allows you to transfer or wire across international borders is €50,000 per month? Under such conditions, even if you had enough cash to buy a home in another nation, capital controls would prevent you from doing so.
